Bathrooms adapted for getting in and out safely — a level-access shower in place of a bath, grab rails, a fold-down seat and slip-resistant flooring.
Adapting a bathroom so somebody can use it on their own, or with help from somebody standing outside it. Taking the bath out and putting a level-access shower in its place, half-height doors that let a carer reach in without getting soaked, a fold-down seat, grab rails, and flooring that is not slippery when it is wet.
Where the rails go depends on the person rather than on the room — which side they lead with, whether they are sitting or standing, what they can reach. So it is worth me looking at it with whoever is going to be using it, rather than working from a plan.
