The small jobs
The jobs people put off for years because they seem too small to ring anyone about. Half-hour jobs are most of my week, so nobody has to apologise for ringing. Got three? Even better, I’ll do them all in one visit.
Outside tap fitted
A new outside tap for the garden, run in copper straight out from the kitchen or bathroom, with a valve inside so you can turn it off for the winter.
Shower or bath resealed
I cut out the old silicone, clean and dry the joint, and reseal the bath, shower tray or screen.
Dripping tap fixed
It's usually a worn washer or cartridge, so it's a quick fix and you won't need a new tap.
Toilet that keeps running
If your toilet keeps filling, or keeps trickling into the pan after you've flushed, I can sort it.
Blocked sink, bath or shower
I'll clear the blockage and clean the trap out properly.
Leak under a sink or basin
I'll find where the drip in the cupboard is coming from and sort it. It's usually a joint, a seal, a tap connector or a flexi hose.
Washing machine or dishwasher plumbed in
Connected to the water and the waste, with its own valve so you can turn it off.
Radiator taken off, swapped or refitted
Taken off so you can decorate, swapped for a new one, or put back with new valves. I don't work on the boiler itself.
Seized or leaking stopcock replaced
If your stop tap is stuck or leaking, I'll replace it so you can turn the water off when you need to.
Toilet seat, handle or cistern parts
A wobbly seat, a broken handle, a flush button that's stopped working, or a leaking cistern part.
Shower head, hose or bar replaced
A furred-up shower head, a split hose, or a shower rail that's come off the wall.
Isolation valves fitted
Small valves on the pipes to your taps, toilet and appliances, so one thing can be turned off without turning off the whole house.
