A bathroom, or something bigger

Removing the old suite and fitting the new one, with all the pipework, walls and flooring that go with it.

How it goes

  1. Give me a ring or send a message

A photo on WhatsApp really helps. Or ask me to ring you back.

  2. I come out and take a look

We go through everything together, then I work out a price for you. Quotes are free, with no obligation.

Every job is priced on its own, as every job is different. I'm not VAT registered, so there's no VAT to add.

You can choose the suite and buy it yourself, or I can find it for you. Which is best?

  3. If you’re happy, I measure up

I come back out to get the exact measurements before I order anything.

If I find a problem you couldn't see, I'll show you and explain what's wrong and what's needed to fix it. On bathrooms that often happens once the old suite is out.

  4. Then I get you booked in

A bathroom can take from five days up to two weeks, depending on the work needed.

I usually text to say I'm on my way.

I bring dust sheets and floor protectors.

If there's any problem with the work afterwards, let me know and I'll come back out as soon as possible and sort it.

Before and after

A coal shed, turned into a shower room 2023

Maybe the smallest one we've done but definitely the most difficult. All new electrics, an extractor fan, a comfort-height toilet, a new shower cubicle, a new insulated ceiling, the floor levelled, all the walls panelled and a new window. A massive amount of work but a complete transformation.

A shower cubicle where the bath was 2023

A new shower cubicle replacing the old bath, sparkle cladding and a new double radiator.

A walk-in shower instead of a bath 2025

Removal of the old bathroom suite and a lovely new walk-in shower, all new cladding on the walls and ceiling, vinyl click flooring, a stylish new towel radiator, vanity basin and toilet.

A black shower in place of the bath 2023

A new 1200 x 800 three-sided black shower cubicle with a black shower, replacing the bath. New toilet, basin and radiators, and concrete and copper cladding on the walls. The customers were over the moon.

Jobs I’ve done

Bathroom installation

Removing the old suite and fitting the new bath, basin, toilet and shower, with all the pipework, wall panels or tiles, and new flooring.

Showers and wet rooms

New showers fitted, shower valves, hoses and rails replaced, and the plumbing for wet rooms.

Accessible bathrooms

Bathrooms made safer to get in and out of. A level-access shower instead of a bath, grab rails, a fold-down seat, a comfort-height toilet and non-slip flooring. I've been doing these since 2018.

Geberit AquaClean shower toilets

A toilet that washes and dries. I supply and fit it, with the wall-hung frame and the cistern hidden behind a panel.

Radiators and pipe work

Radiators moved, added, swapped or fixed back on the wall, and leaks and valves sorted. I drain the system down and fill it back up afterwards.

Kitchen plumbing

Sinks, taps and wastes, and washing machines and dishwashers plumbed in.

Leaks and burst pipes

Leaking and burst pipes, including the slow leaks that show up as a stain on the ceiling.

Hot water and water systems

Hot water cylinders, tanks, overflows and the cold water supply, and small electric water heaters where there's no hot water.

What I don’t do

Unfortunately I don’t work on boilers, gas fires or gas cookers, as I’m not Gas Safe registered. You’ll need a gas engineer for those. I don’t do electrics either. On a heating system I can do the radiators, valves and pipework, but not the boiler or the thermostat.

Boiler losing pressure? It could be a leak, which I can sort

Greg Probert

I’m Greg. I’ve been plumbing around Aberdare and the Cynon Valley since 2018. I work on my own and get help on the bigger jobs. Most of my work is bathrooms, and small jobs fill the rest of the week.

I work weekdays. Not sure if I cover your area? Just ask.
